London
1 area
We collect across every London borough, from Croydon and Bromley to Enfield, Ealing and Romford. If you live in a flat, the driver buzzes up and collects from your front door – or leave donations in a communal area if you tell us beforehand.
South East
8 areas
From the Kent coast to the Thames Valley, we collect throughout the South East, including Reading, Oxford, Guildford, Brighton, Southampton, Maidstone and Milton Keynes. It’s one of our busiest regions, so collection dates come round often.
East of England
6 areas
We cover Essex, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Norfolk and Suffolk – from commuter towns like Chelmsford, St Albans and Luton out to Norwich, Ipswich and Cambridge.
South West

What we take
Donations We Can Collect Near You
We aim to re-home around 95% of the donations we receive, so please make sure everything is clean, undamaged and in good, reusable condition. We can’t take large or bulky furniture, or anything broken, dirty or beyond repair. Here are some of the most common items we collect:

Clothes banks are handy for a single bag of clothes, but they’re often full, can’t take homeware, and items left beside them get spoiled by the rain. Charity shops do great work but can only accept what they have room to store. A doorstep collection lets you clear a whole wardrobe, loft or kitchen in one go – without leaving the house.

Your donations help raise vital funding for our partner charities and keep items in the circular economy – we prevent thousands of items from ending up in landfill every year. After collection
What Happens to Your Donations?
After collection, your donations go to our warehouse, where they’re sorted by hand into clothing, books and household items. Anything in good condition is re-homed – some here in the UK, and much of it overseas to places including Africa, the Philippines and South America, where good-quality second-hand clothing and essentials are in demand.
We sell the sorted items to distributors, and a large percentage of the proceeds goes to the charity you chose when booking. We also give items directly to animal shelters, children’s organisations and women’s refuges. That’s why we ask for clean, undamaged items – anything that can’t be reused has nowhere to go but landfill.

Charity Collections Near You – Your Questions Answered
Is the charity collection really free?
Yes. We cover the cost of collecting and sorting your donations, and there’s no limit on bags or boxes (apart from 10 boxes of books per collection).
Do I need to be home?
No. Leave your donations somewhere visible outside your front door before your time slot starts, and track the driver live on the day.
What time will the driver arrive?
We email your 2-hour time slot by 9pm the evening before. Check your junk folder if you can’t see it.
How do I know if you collect on my street?
Enter your postcode in the checker above or in the booking form. In a few postcode areas we only cover the main towns, so the postcode check is the quickest way to be sure.
What bags or boxes should I use?
Any sturdy bag or box one person can lift. Label it “Anglo Doorstep Collections” so the driver knows it’s for them.
What can’t you collect?
Furniture and bulky items, mattresses, bikes, anything damaged, broken or wet, personalised items and school uniform, board games and puzzles, duvets and pillows, nightwear, socks and underwear. See the full list.
How does my donation help a charity?
We sell sorted donations to distributors, and a large percentage of the proceeds goes to the partner charity you choose when you book.
I live in a flat – can you still collect?
Yes. The driver buzzes your flat and collects from your front door, or from a communal area if you let us know beforehand.
Can I book a collection for someone else?
Yes – for an elderly parent or a neighbour, for example. Book using their address and add any access notes. Nobody needs to be in.
I have a lot to donate – is that a problem?
Not at all. If you have more than 20 bags or boxes, email info@anglodoorstepcollections.co.uk with your date, address and a photo so we can make room on the van.
