As the UK’s largest doorstep collection company, Anglo Doorstep Collections makes giving back genuinely effortless. With over 10,000 collections every week, we help households right across the UK clear out unwanted items free, straight from the doorstep – not just clothes and shoes, but books, toys, kitchenware, small electricals, household items, linen, bags and much more.
There’s no limit on how much you can donate and you choose what charity to support: a cause close to your heart – Action for Children, RSPCA, Together for Short Lives or Advance – or planting trees with Ecologi to help the planet.
It’s good for you, and it’s good for the planet. Every item we collect is given a second life rather than going to landfill – keeping it in use, supporting the circular economy, and cutting waste, carbon and water. For every kilo of clothing we rehome, we save around 25kg of CO2 and 10,000 litres of fresh water. Across a year, that adds up to a genuinely meaningful difference for the environment.
It couldn’t be simpler. Book a free collection in under two minutes and pick a date that suits you. We’ll email your two-hour time slot the evening before, and on the day you can track your driver live on the map – no waiting in, and no one needs to be home. Just leave your items out and we’ll do the rest. We call this Effortless Giving.
100% free. Better for your home, better for charity, better for the planet. Trusted nationwide, with thousands of 5-star reviews.

We carefully sort and rehome donated items across the UK and overseas, helping extend their life and reduce waste. The proceeds help support our partnered charities and environmental initiatives. So far, we’ve raised and paid over £460,000 to UK charities and planted more than 62,000 trees.
Everything below is collected free from your doorstep and rehomed, so please make sure it’s clean and in good condition. Household items should be no larger than a medium box so our drivers can carry them.
Men’s, women’s and children’s clothing — coats, jackets, jeans, tops, dresses and knitwear. Clean and wearable, please; we can’t take nightwear, socks or underwear.
Trainers, boots, heels, sandals and slippers for adults and children, in pairs and good enough to wear again. Outgrown kids’ shoes are especially welcome.
Paperbacks, hardbacks, children’s books and cookbooks, all rehomed rather than pulped. Pack them in boxes you can lift — up to 10 medium boxes per collection.
Albums, box sets, films and console games that streaming has left on the shelf. Cases welcome — we sort everything at the warehouse.
Working phones, tablets, cameras and small appliances, no bigger than a medium box. If it still works, it still has value to someone.
Pans, crockery, cutlery, glassware, utensils and the gadgets you used once. Clean and complete, please — it all goes on to be used again.
Unopened or barely used toiletries, perfumes, aftershaves and gift sets you know you’ll never get through. They go on to people who need them.
Bed sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, tablecloths, thin curtains and bath or hand towels. We can’t take duvets, pillows or blankets.
Soft toys, building blocks, action figures, bath, musical and educational toys, plus games consoles. Complete and undamaged, so they can be played with again.
Handbags, backpacks, totes, purses and hold-alls, plus unbranded school bags — in good condition and ready to be carried again.
Hats, scarves, gloves, belts, ties, jewellery, watches, sunglasses and non-prescription reading glasses — the small things that finish an outfit.
Hand tools, power tools and garden tools from the shed or the project that never got finished. Working and complete, they’re rehomed to be put to use.

After we receive your amazing donations…
Nothing goes to waste. Our team carefully sorts every collection and packs it into categories, then gives each item a second life – rehoming clothes, shoes and household goods both here in the UK and around the world, reaching the communities that need and value them most. What might have ended up in landfill instead goes on to be worn, read, played with and used again.
It’s one of the simplest things you can do for the planet. Every item kept in circulation is one less item in landfill, and the savings add up fast: for every kilo of clothing we rehome, we save around 25kg of CO2 and 10,000 litres of fresh water. With over 10,000 collections a week, that’s a genuinely meaningful reduction in waste, carbon and water – and a real boost for the circular economy.
And it’s not just good for the environment. After our running costs, a large share of the proceeds goes straight to our partnered charities – Action for Children, RSPCA, Together for Short Lives and Advance – or, if you’d prefer, to planting trees with Ecologi. You choose the cause closest to your heart, and your unwanted bits and pieces turn into real support for it.
So when you book a free collection with Anglo, you’re decluttering your home, supporting a charity you care about, and helping the planet – all in one effortless step. That’s giving back, the easy way.
We collect free from the doorstep across every town and village in the counties we serve. Pick yours to book a collection.
