Oxford‘s colleges, research hospitals and thriving family neighbourhoods give the city a remarkably young, ever-changing population — and with around 152,000 residents, that means a constant flow of children’s toys being outgrown long before they’ve stopped being useful. When you donate toys in Oxford with Anglo Doorstep Collections, there’s no trip to a charity shop and no booking a council collection van: we come straight to your door, free of charge, and make sure those toys go somewhere they’ll genuinely be played with again.
What We Collect
The breadth of children’s toys we can take is wider than you might expect. Soft toys, dolls, action figures, wooden stacking sets, construction bricks, train sets — if it’s something a child has grown out of but another child would happily play with, it’s exactly the kind of thing we’re here for. We ask only that items are in reasonable condition: clean, substantially complete, and not broken. Once collected, everything usable passes directly to our charity and reuse partners, where it becomes available to other Oxford families.

Leave your bag on the doorstep
You don’t need to be at home when we call — simply leave the bag somewhere accessible and our driver will take care of the rest. Bag smaller pieces together so sets stay intact on the journey, and keep anything damaged separate so it doesn’t mix in.
Toys reach children who need them
Usable items go straight to our charity and reuse partners, where they’re made available to other Oxford families. A large percentage of proceeds goes to charity.
Across Every Corner of Oxford
Oxford’s neighbourhoods stretch from Headington and Cowley in the east to Botley and Cumnor Hill in the west, and from Summertown down through Iffley and Rose Hill — quite a distance to travel just to drop off a bag of children’s toys. A free doorstep collection sidesteps all of that. We cover the whole city, lifting kids’ stuff directly from your front step with no charity shop detour, no trip to Oxford City Council’s household waste site, and no collection fee. If you’re in Oxford, we’ll come to you.
We also collect from nearby towns including Abingdon, Kidlington, Witney and Bicester, so friends and family further out can book just as easily.

No Minimum or Maximum
One carrier bag or several — there’s no fee and no minimum or maximum amount. Every donation is just as welcome as the next.

Based on UK estimates, around a million tonnes of reusable household goods — toys included — are discarded nationally every year. Keeping children’s toys in circulation saves the raw materials, water and energy that manufacturing brand-new replacements would consume, and keeps bulky waste out of Oxfordshire’s landfill sites.
