Outgrown Toys in Farnham? We’ll Collect From Your Door

donated toys ready for doorstep collection in Farnham

Farnham is a thriving Surrey market town of around 40,000 people, and like any community with a healthy number of young families, children’s toys have a habit of piling up faster than children grow into them. Action figures, soft toys, wooden stacking sets, construction bricks — all outgrown in a season, many still perfectly good. Rather than letting that kids’ stuff clutter up a spare room or end up at the kerbside, donating toys in Farnham with Anglo Doorstep Collections means they go straight to children who’ll actually use them. There’s no trip to a charity shop, no negotiating the tip, and absolutely no charge — we come to your front door.

What We Collect

We collect a good range of children’s toys in sound, usable condition. Soft toys, dolls, action figures, train sets, construction bricks and wooden toys are all typical examples of the kids’ stuff we’re happy to take — the sort of things children love for a year or two before moving on to the next thing, leaving the toy itself with plenty of life left in it. Every item that’s fit for reuse is passed to our charity and reuse partners, giving other Farnham families the chance to benefit.

How It Works — Three Simple Steps

1
Book online

Choose a date through our booking form — the whole thing takes under two minutes and there’s nothing to pay. The evening before your collection day, we’ll send you your time slot so you have a clear idea of when to expect our driver.

2
Leave your bag on the doorstep

You needn’t be in — our driver just needs to be able to reach the bag. Pop smaller pieces into the same bag so sets don’t get separated in transit, and leave out anything broken or beyond use.

3
Toys reach children who need them

Anything in usable condition goes directly to our charity and reuse partners, where other families across Farnham and the surrounding area can make use of it. A large percentage of proceeds goes to charity, so a single bag of outgrown toys does more than one kind of good.

Across Every Corner of Farnham

Farnham sits in the south-west corner of Surrey, and whether you’re close to the town centre or further out along the Wey valley, our drivers come to you — so there’s no need to load the car and hunt for a charity shop with a parking space. Waverley Borough Council covers this part of Surrey, and managing household waste across a dispersed, largely rural district is no small task. A free doorstep collection removes the temptation to bin things that still have plenty of use in them. We also collect from nearby Aldershot, Farnborough, Godalming and Haslemere, so if friends or family in any of those towns have children’s toys to donate, they can do exactly the same.

Town-wide Coverage

From the town centre and Wrecclesham to Rowledge and beyond — wherever you are in Farnham, we’ll collect from your doorstep. Aldershot, Farnborough, Godalming and Haslemere are covered too.

No Minimum or Maximum

One carrier bag or several — the collection is free either way and there’s no minimum quantity to reach before we’ll come out. Whether you’re doing a full clear-out or just found one overlooked bag of toys, every donation is welcome.

Better Than Landfill

UK estimates suggest around a million tonnes of reusable household goods are discarded every year. Putting a donated toy back into use instead means the raw materials, water and energy that would have gone into making a replacement are saved entirely.

What Donating Toys Means for Farnham’s Environment

Children’s toys are often a mix of plastics, fabrics and electronics — exactly the kind of item that causes headaches for local waste management when it ends up in a bin bag. Based on published UK figures, including estimates from WRAP, reusing toys and similar household goods saves the raw materials, energy and water that would otherwise go into manufacturing brand-new replacements. Across a town of around 40,000 people, even small increases in reuse rates help keep bulky, mixed-material waste out of Surrey’s landfill sites — and that matters in a county where disposal capacity is finite. Choosing a free doorstep collection over the general waste bin is, in practical terms, one of the simplest environmental decisions a Farnham household can make.

It’s Not Just Families

Parents doing a bedroom clear-out before a new arrival are the most obvious donors, but they’re certainly not alone. Grandparents in Farnham who kept a supply of toys for grandchildren’s visits often find themselves with more than they’ll realistically use. Childminders refreshing their play resources, and small nurseries with good-condition kids’ stuff to move on, are just as welcome. Clean, undamaged soft toys find new homes quickly; wooden toys and construction sets almost always do too. If there’s a bag sitting in a cupboard that you’ve been meaning to do something useful with, this is a genuinely easy way to act on that intention — and it won’t cost you a penny compared with a council bulky-waste collection.

“In a town like Farnham, where getting across to a charity shop can mean sitting in traffic on the A31, the appeal of a free doorstep collection is obvious — two minutes booking online, a bag left on the step, and the toys go somewhere they’re genuinely needed.”

Add More to the Same Trip

Toys rarely turn up on their own when it’s clear-out time. You’re very welcome to add other items to the same collection visit — have a look at our pages for clothes, books and household items to see what else we can take in one go. We also collect from nearby Aldershot, and every area we serve is listed on our collections near you page.
