Paperbacks, hardbacks, children’s picture books, cookbooks, reference works, DVDs, CDs and music albums are all welcome, as long as they’re dry and in a reasonable condition. Every readable title is passed to the charities and reuse partners we work with, where books are either resold or given directly to new readers. A large percentage of proceeds goes to charity, helping raise vital funds for good causes — so clearing a few shelves at home has a genuine ripple effect beyond your own four walls. Items that are too damaged to be used are recycled as a last resort, but reuse is always the priority.
