Outgrown Toys in Gloucester? Free Charity Pickup at Your Door

If your home in Gloucester is overflowing with outgrown children’s toys, there is a simpler way to clear them than loading the car for a charity shop run. When you donate toys in Gloucester with Anglo Doorstep Collections, we collect directly from your doorstep — completely free of charge — and make sure those toys reach families who will genuinely use them, rather than ending up as waste.
What We Collect — and How to Prepare It
We collect a wide range of children’s toys — soft toys, action figures, construction sets, wooden stacking toys, train sets, dolls and toy vehicles are just a few examples of the kids’ stuff we give a second life. As long as items are in reasonable condition and have simply been outgrown rather than broken, they are exactly what we are looking for. Once collected, anything usable passes straight to our reuse partners, where it becomes available to other families.
How the Free Collection Works
Book online
Pick a date using our straightforward booking form. The whole thing takes under two minutes and there is nothing to pay.
Leave your bag on the doorstep
You do not need to be at home when we arrive — just leave the bag somewhere our driver can reach it. Bag smaller pieces together so sets stay intact during transit, and keep anything damaged or broken out of the donation bag.
Toys reach children who need them
Good-condition items go directly to our charity and reuse partners, where they are made available to families who will genuinely use them. A large percentage of proceeds goes to charity.

Covering Every Corner of Gloucester
With a population of around 132,000, Gloucester is a compact but lively city — and the last thing anyone needs when they are having a clear-out is a cross-town journey to drop off a bag of children’s toys. We cover the whole of Gloucester, collecting from your doorstep wherever you are in the city. We also pick up from nearby Cheltenham, Stroud, Tewkesbury and Quedgeley, so if family or friends in those areas have outgrown kids’ stuff to donate, they can book a collection just as easily.
City-wide Coverage
Whether you are in the city centre, on the outskirts towards Quedgeley, or anywhere in between — if you are in Gloucester or the surrounding area, we will come to you.
No Minimum or Maximum
One carrier bag of soft toys or a whole collection of action figures and construction sets — there is no fee and no minimum, or maximum, amount. Every donation is genuinely welcome.
Better Than Landfill
UK estimates suggest around a million tonnes of reusable household goods — toys among them — are discarded every year. Donating rather than discarding keeps bulky waste out of Gloucestershire’s landfill sites and saves the raw materials and energy that manufacturing replacements would require.
It Is Not Just Families
Parents refreshing the playroom are far from the only people we hear from. Grandparents in Gloucester who have kept a stash of kids’ toys for weekend visits, childminders updating their resources, and carers who find it difficult to get out all benefit from a free doorstep collection that removes a practical barrier. For anyone who is elderly, disabled or simply stretched too thin to make a charity shop run, not having to leave the house makes a real difference. Clean, undamaged soft toys and wooden toys find new homes quickly; the same goes for good-condition action figures, construction sets and toy vehicles. Whatever children’s stuff you have been meaning to move on, it will not go to waste here.
“Households in Gloucester accumulate outgrown children’s toys faster than most people realise — and having them collected from the doorstep means that long-overdue clear-out takes minutes rather than an entire weekend.”

The Local Environmental Difference
When toys are donated and reused rather than thrown away, the environmental benefit is more significant than it might first appear. Reusing items like toys saves the water, raw materials and energy that would otherwise go into manufacturing replacements — and in Gloucester’s case, it also means less bulky waste finding its way into Gloucestershire’s landfill sites. Across the UK, an estimated one million tonnes of reusable household goods are discarded annually; keeping even a small proportion of Gloucester’s share in circulation is a straightforward, practical step with a genuine local impact. A bag of outgrown toys left on your doorstep for collection is, quietly, a meaningful choice.
Add More to the Same Trip
Toys rarely come out of storage on their own. If you are having a broader clear-out, you are welcome to add other items to the same collection visit — take a look at our pages for clothes, books and household items to see what else we can take at the same time. We also collect from nearby Solihull, and a full list of everywhere we cover is on our collections near you page.
