Here’s What our Councils say:

Testimonial from Cherwell Resident
“Anglo is such a wonderful and easy service. You book your slot and begin decluttering in readiness for collection day. And you don’t need to be at home on collection day either. The big draw for me is not only am I helping the environment but also supporting worthwhile charities such as Mind.”
Cherwell District Council
When we first heard about the Anglo Doorstep Collection service, we were very interested in finding out how this would work for us as a council if we were to introduce it and promote it. The fact that it gives another option for people to donate their items as well as knowing that a charity benefits from this, it is a perfect solution. As well as this, it is great that residents can book an appointment and choose a delivery slot when they wish the items to be collected. The service is both convenient and helpful for the residents. We are very happy as a council to be working in partnership with Anglo and so pleased that our chairman’s choice of charity, Oxfordshire Mind, is benefiting from donations. Long may this service be available for our residents.
Sevenoaks District Council
We partnered with Anglo because our residents were complaining about rogue cold calling visit trying to collect clothes. This generated complaints and uncertainty in our communities, however working with Anglo has proved to alley those fears. We now only receive positive comments from residents who like the professional booking service and all of the good causes that Anglo support. I would recommend Anglo as a local authority partner without hesitation, as it has been an amazing success for our residents.

How Donations Help to Reduce Waste.

The average item of clothing is only worn 10 times before being discarded. In the UK alone, 360,000 tonnes of clothes are thrown away each year.

Anglo Doorstep Collections is currently making around 3,400 collections every week. By rehousing the donations we collect, this saves around 98,950 tonnes of CO2 each year, which is enough energy to supply 38,057 home for a year.

This also saves 37 Billion litres of water, which is enough to supply 685,000 homes in the UK for a year.
